As someone who considers “craft beer enthusiast” a part of my personality, I couldn’t resist checking out the new Cape Cod Brewery Passport. Let’s just say—this digital passport might be the best thing to happen to my summer. It’s like a treasure map for local beer lovers, only instead of gold, you're collecting crisp IPAs, hazy New Englands, and tart summer sours.
Getting started was ridiculously easy. I downloaded the free Cape Cod Brewery Passport app on my phone (just search for “Cape Cod Brewery Passport”) and instantly got access to a list of participating breweries across the Cape. There’s a great mix—from longtime favorites to newer spots with experimental vibes—and the app helps you track your visits, earn stamps, and unlock fun perks and prizes along the way.
My first stop? Naturally, Cape Cod Beer in Hyannis. It’s practically a rite of passage. I grabbed a pint of their Beach Blonde Ale, found a shady picnic table in their beer garden, and enjoyed some live music. The whole setup was buzzing, and I even stumbled upon a food truck festival I didn’t know was happening—thanks to the events section of the app.
Next up was Bad Martha Farmer’s Brewery in East Falmouth. This spot is such a vibe. With ivy-covered walls, big wooden tables, and their motto “Get Bad. Do Good.”—I was hooked before my first sip. I went with their 508 IPA (because when on Cape Cod…), and the bartender happily stamped my digital passport after I mentioned the app. I loved how the space blends rustic charm with a playful energy—plus, they had live acoustic music that evening, which I also found out about through the app. Bonus!
A couple days later, I headed up Cape to Tree House Brewing Company in Sandwich, which has earned a cult following for good reason. The location is stunning—set high on a hill with views of the bay, the brewery itself looks like a modern farmhouse crossed with a beach house dream. I grabbed a curated flight (the Julius was chef’s kiss) and wandered outside to take in the view. The app notified me they were hosting a “Sunset Sips” event that week, so I’m definitely plotting my return.
What I love most about the Cape Cod Brewery Passport is how it encourages exploration. Sure, I’ve hit a few familiar spots, but the app has introduced me to breweries I hadn’t even heard of. It also lists brewery events—everything from trivia nights and yoga in the beer garden to food truck roundups and limited-release tastings—so you always have a reason to swing by. Each time you visit a participating brewery and check in with the app, you earn a stamp, and those stamps lead to prizes like exclusive swag and discounts. Honestly, though? The best reward has been the experience itself—meeting other beer lovers, supporting local brewers, and discovering cool corners of the Cape along the way.
So if you’re heading to Cape Cod this summer, or you're a local looking for a new way to explore your own backyard, download the Cape Cod Brewery Passport and start your sip-worthy adventure.
